Blessings in Birth is a private practice that is owned and operated by Diana Fern, a midwife who has been working with parents for years. Diana is a mother herself with five–yes, five!–kids of her own. Additionally, she has been assisting births for over 30 years. She combines her lived experience with her professional knowledge to create a customized care plan for all of her clients. She follows the Midwives Model of Care with all her clients, treating birth as a natural event rather than a medical emergency. She is inclusive, accepting low-risk clients of every background to give them their ideal births.
Services
Through Blessings in Birth, Diana works with parents to plan their home births. You will start out with a no-obligation consultation where you can decide if Diana’s style matches your own. If so, you will have regular visits where Diana will check on your progress. She also leaves plenty of time in each appointment to answer your questions and build your birth plan. As you near your due date, she is going to ensure your space is ready for your delivery. If you do want a water birth, she is going to help you with a pool rental. Once labor begins, Diana will be right by your side to assist. She will stay there until after your baby is born to ensure you are on the path to recovery. You will also have postpartum appointments with her in the days and weeks following.

In addition to her work as the Blessings In Birth midwife, Diana is going to make sure you have the support you need for the postpartum period.
