They have kids’ play areas, wagon rides, and some of the most decadent, farm-fresh food in the state! Their apple season starts at the end of August and runs until November. You can find over 30 varieties across their 20-acre orchard!
Deal’s Orchard

Over in Jefferson, you can find Deal’s Orchard, an apple farm that has been Central Iowa family-owned since 1917. This farm is fully dedicated to apples, with over 40 acres where you can check out over 35 varieties. Their harvest runs from mid-July through mid-October.
Iowa Orchard

Iowa Orchard is located in Granger of Central Iowa and offers U-Pick produce each summer and apples in the fall. Their apple season starts each year at the beginning of September and runs all the way through October. The farm is dog-friendly so no one in your family has to miss out on all the fall fun!
Wills Family Orchard

Wills Family Orchard has been a staple of the Adel community since the early 1990s! This farm has around 20 varieties of apples with their harvest season starting each year around early August. You can check them out all the way through October.

Hinegardner’s Orchard in Montour has become a bit of an apple orchard legend in the Central Iowa area! The farm has annual events including their famous Cider Day where you can come and sample their produce. They have three pick-your-own weekends throughout the fall and update their dates each year through their website.
