Central College in Pella has roots stretching back to 1853. Back then, it was a tiny Baptist college with only 37 students. In 1916, it became affiliated with the Reformed Church. While they still carry this denomination, they welcome people of all backgrounds and faiths. They started to offer international study programs in the 1960s, and to this day, they provide plenty of opportunities to study around the globe. They currently have just over 1,100 students with small class sizes that average around 12. The college rests on around 130 acres in the midst of Pella, and its dorms have been recognized as some of the best in the country. With this school, you are instantly going to feel right at home!
The Central College Experience
Central College In Pella offers a wide range of majors, so you can find the one that suits you. In fact, they have over 70 academic programs as well as pre-professional programs! Their majors include education, accounting, economics, political science, exercise science, history, and physics. If you find yourself browsing through the catalog and unable to find the program that suits you, you can talk to your advisor about creating your own major. They also offer dual-degree programs through Allen College and Palmer College of Chiropractic.
